Exenia Group S.r.l. was born in November 1995 with a specific entrepreneurial project: to become one of the first examples in Italy of a company capable of combining high-tech technologies and new products for highly dynamic markets. Investing in R&D represents, for Exenia Group, a fundamental choice, in contrast to the common tendency to delegate this function exclusively to public institutions (Universities; CNR etc.) but which responds to a model widespread in the USA (e.g. Dedicated Biotechnology Companies) Japan and Northern Europe. To do this, the only investments in equipment and instrumentation are not enough, just as the simple addition of scientific skills, perhaps authoritative, is not enough; it is necessary to create, within a specific business project, that ability to translate “the idea” into the technological process or innovative product capable of opening up new markets.
